CHIMNEY SAFETY
It's really important to ensure you have your chimney swept at least once a year. A build up of soot/creosote can increase the risk of having a chimney fire, which could cause serious damage to property and health.
We are also Carbon Monoxide safe, and highly recommend the use of detection in your homes.

CHIMNEY SWEEP
From £60
Chimney sweep includes cleaning the flue/ chimney, a smoke draw test, a visual inspection of the fireplace/stove and chimney stack and a safety certificate on completion. We also test your Carbon monoxide detectors.
As well as open fires and stoves, we can also sweep chimneys serving gas appliances, as long as there is access to the chimney.

CCTV INSPECTION
From £80
A camera inspection inside the chimney can provide a sound diagnosis to problems, which beats guess work 100% of the time! Whether you've just bought a property and want to check the chimney internals before use, had a chimney fire, or for some reason your fireplace isn't working properly, a CCTV inspection will help solve the issue.
BIRD NEST REMOVAL
Prices will vary
A chimney pot or flue can become blocked with bird nest material such as twigs, leaves and even seeds. Removal cost will vary depending on extent of blockage. This service is recommended alongside a sweep and/or a CCTV inspection to guarantee clearance. A live nest cannot be removed from February until the end of August, as this is the UK bird nesting season.
COWL FITTING
Prices will vary
Sharps Chimney Services can replace unsuitable or damaged cowls, install new cowls on recommendation and cap disused chimneys. A cowl or blanking cap can help in many ways, notably protecting your chimney from potential birds nesting and rain (leading to moisture problems).
Certain cowls can help with stopping downdraught and increasing draw.
